Nearby, California's state bird—the California quail—serves as a reminder of the Golden State's beauty and diversity. Under UV light, the artwork reveals a ladybug, which has long been considered a symbol of good luck.

Mission San Francisco Solano stands in the distance. Founded in 1823, it was the last and northernmost of California's twenty-one missions. It was also the only California mission established under Mexican rule following Mexico's independence from Spain.
